Sounds like to me that you need to let her buy it. Problem solved. She is the one that has a problem with your watch.

I looked to see just what is a Suuntro Core? I thought it was going to be funny and it's just a watch? A time piece?
When you get this watch will you become a double-knot spy like Jethro?

when did you have it? Apparently the first 2 year it was out was a disaster. Back in 08-10. But have apparently worked out all the kinks and it functions well.

I have one watch, and the battery is dead. The only time I wear a watch is if I'm wearing a button down for a nice outting. I can't stand anything on my wrist, or neck, or jewerly at all for that matter. Might get the wedding band tattooed on.

I'll give you a no B.S. answer. Save your money and go with a Casio G-Shock. I've got a Suunto Core. It didn't last me even one rotation in Afghanistan. First, the luminous dots came off, then the dial completely wore off with the black finish down to the silver, then the actual dial itself broke off, the lens scratched horribly, half the time the compass wouldn't work (I'd end up using my actual lensatic one instead), the altimeter had to constantly be "reset", the barometer went haywire half the time, and the wrist strap broke within the first 3 months. For a $300 watch, it's not worth a damn. Save yourself the money, get a Casio G-shock and with the extra money, put it towards a kestrel hand held weather station.

Then I would have to go with the Casio G-Shock.

Apparently no one read my post on the first page........
ctdeathfrombelow wrote:Was seriously considdering a suunto as my everyday watch, but decided on a Luminox instead. Casio makes the G Shock watch line which I would still prefer over a suunto. Theres too many G Shocks to list but I think the Frogman is close to what you are looking for. I chose my Luminox because it has large easy to read numbers and is lit with Tritium rather than a battery powered light so all I have to do is raise the watch to read it night or day, with out using 2 hands. It's also waterproof up to 200 meters which is waaay deeper than my bathtub. Deciced I didnt needed all the other fancy stuff: If I am wet I know its raining and if I cant touch the depth is over 6 feet.

Learn to.

Luminox makes a heck of a watch. Makes it easy to tell shooting light.
