I want toyo A/T's but can't get them in anything but factory size. They've got toyo M/T's in a bigger size but don't want an M/T. I planned to wait until the A/T was available in the size I wanted but I HAVE to have tires today. :fingerhead:

BFG A/T are tough to beat. What size are you lookin at?

No can do on the bfg A/T, too expensive. 275/65/20 or 295/65/20, the 295 M/T is 1 and 3/10 of an inch taller, 8/10 of an inch wider, and it weighs 18 lbs per tire more than the 275 A/T. The 275 M/T is 4/10 of an inch taller, same width, and weighs 14 lbs more than the a/t.

One thing I have never understood is the measurements you have for tire sizes. Can you explain? I got that they are 20" rims, but that's it. I have alway had tires in inch measurements, for example 35"/12.5"/15

It's a metric formula. The tire is 295mm wide with an aspect ratio of 65%. Meaning that the sidewall is 65% as tall as it is wide. Convert 295mm to inches, multiply by .65. Multiply that by two because you have two sidewalls and add the wheel size.

The first number is the width, the second is the variable for an equation to come up with the height by the width and rim size, the third is the rim size.

That's ridiculous. Aint nobody got thyme to do math to determine tire size. Why can't it be simple like big tires lol?

35/12.50s aren't 35" tall. Most are 34-34.5

It's easier to understand that than having to do an equation.
