The one piece of equipment that can pull out anything gets stuck. What's gonna get that out?

I thought the one piece of equipment that could pull anything out was the combine

Possibly. I'm not a farmer, but that's a big ass tractor to me. Combine would look like the space shuttle to me

Actually it's our D7. That girl will pull. A combine will pull the world, as will a tractor. When they're not stuck.

Does something like that have six wheel drive? Seems like it would be difficult to get it stuck. Those rear tires are caked though.

It has four wheel drive, but it runs an opens differential unless you press the pedal to lock it. From what cannon posted I assume that's what happened.

That would explain it

What Cason said. Not a chance I'd tie onto that with the thrasher . . . Too much risk of burying that thing, which makes for REAL problems. We just tied onto it with a bigger tractor. She had that rig bottomed out pretty good. Didn't help that she had a 15,000 lb buggy carrying 20,000 lbs of green rice hooked on it. Rice is supposed to be harvested in September, NOT in October. Everything's messy.

As a Firefighter, my cousin would hate those decorations. They have to respond to all calls.

So you're saying it would be bad taste to add a yellow jacket and oxygen tank to the bodies?

No, what I am saying is that there are enough BS calls they have to run, and this takes away from having to respond to the real emergencies, where time may be extremely important.

That's the kind of hole that eats trucks when a field gets flooded. I hope you finished up today, because it's going to be really nasty if we get that 2" rain they're calling for. At least you have good shoes on her. I was on an 8410 the other day that was so slick it would barely pull a stubble roller.

Looks like Rice farming is hard on everything. It's really an abrasive grain so it wears combines out, all that mud . Looks like fun somedays
I hope someday someone remembers this old dog with kindness and gives me to a puppy.
