Michigan has really bad weather so I hunt in Illinois, Missouri, and Arkansas instead. You need to move south.
More ducks and the weather is always nice. Would avoid Kansas. Sharp barbed wire there.

Michigan is to dangerous and unpredictable to duck hunt.
There are only two types of people in the world, those who love duck hunting and those who never have duck hunted.

Between D-town and the weather, it surprising we this state is not considered a permanent disaster zone.

If you don't want to hunt the GMU or knock on doors for private land access, then you'd want to go north and east, young man. There's few ducks around SW Michigan that don't spend their life in parks or in the GMU.... Good luck. :welcome:

Yea sw michigan really doesn't have any great places . I'd really like to fin a little back woods timber hole that I could hunt. I've only been waterfowl hunting go 2 years and its hard not being able to go hunting as much as I'd like. Just because I can't find a place. If I could I'd move but I can't a the moment . I have all the gear I need just no good spot. We have a lot of coots and moorhens where we hunt . That's really about it after the bird go to the fields a few miles away that we can't hunt .

I think it's pretty safe to tell him exactly where the "X" is.
