When you've never done it, the bar is pretty low. One of my duck hunting partners goes to Silver Springs every year. I know it's not great, but he still burns quite a few shells and kills a few doves. My dad and his brother and some other guys used to kill a lot of doves and then a year or two before I was old enough to hunt they lost their field

We'd hunt watermelon fields down in SEMO, and wear em out. So much fun. The best part like westie says, is, you get to eat them. Tasty little birds.

Baker, I'm an idiot. I didn't realize until today that this is the thanksgiving holiday weekend. I won't be able to participate in this hunt as I'll be with the family for the holiday.

It's a little far for that. It would be a few hours at least.

I've been thinking "first weekend in December" this whole time. It didn't occur to me that this year the first weekend of December is split with the last weekend in November.

Well there may be a slight snag in all that. When I scheduled it I didnt realize it was our opener. We may have a blind full that weekend too. I talked to swamp about doing a swap on a couple weekends but wasn't able too. I am going to have to wait till closer to that weekend to know fully who will all be hunting with us.

With that said, I will make up it up if this happens. We will figure out a date that works for all of us and have a DHC day in the blind.

I dont know how the 21-22 falls for any of you. (Titz, Woody, A5, Omega) but that would be a good weekend.

I know Swamp wants to keep it close but I would over night it to whoever if need be. Just another option to look at.

I will assume those plans will fall with Titz also? If so let me know. Maybe Swamp will let me do that instead to get you all over top it.
