This mornings hunt was my last with Ginger, I had some hope that with a cold front moving in tomorrow we may be able to really get into the birds. I wasn't so lucky, zero wind and we've had the same birds for over a week now. Things were decent for the first hour of shooting time and then it went dead. I had been waiting for this for the pat few days but the birds just kept coming. Here's to hoping the cold front moving in this evening brings in new birds. Ended up with seven but lost two flyers, my next pic is the field we hunt and as you can see if you get a cripple is can be pretty tough to find them if they sail a ways. We spent 20 minutes looking for the two we lost and went and looked for them again after the hunt but no dice. Best of luck Blackcloud, and if you can please sign my name on the rambler, I forgot to do that!

That would be a good season for me.

Congrats.

Chit.Just.Got.Real.

I had a life long dream of getting home from work and having a real Red Head, that I can share with my friends, waiting for me at the door....

Ginger arrived safely, but it looks like somebody already got some mud on the duck  Thanks Weston81!

I've got a couple spots picked out for us, but where we set up will depend on time and wind direction.

Ah yes, that place :fingerhead:
If I can make it down there at all, it will likely be in December or January.

Chit's been stupid busy at work this year, and I've got to strike while the iron is hot. Daddy needs a new boat and mud motor.

Me too  I'm packing my P.O.S. work and scouting machine. Be there by noon if traffic cooperates. I'm allowing 3 hrs for a 2 hr drive. New exhaust, tires, added oil, tranny fluid, beer and gear. Ready to rock and roll. Can't wait to get on the Big Muddy.
