No teal in Indian Bayou. Will let y'all know how it goes tomorrow in Grand Chenier. Hopefully this front moves some teal. Good luck to everyone.

I took my Prewar Browning Superposed serial number 1782 out for a Teal Hunting this morning. I hope the fellow that bought this gun in 1931 is sitting with a big ole smile on his face right now. I know I am.

Appears they're finally here in numbers, as we had the biggest bunches of the season in the marsh today. Knock wood.

I seen good numbers here yesterday. Left the lake around 11 am. Went down today, had small flocks of 4-6 flying around nothing like yesterday. Temp is down 10-15 degrees from Friday/Saturday. I think they are headed for you finally.

Hunted in Grand Chenier today. Teal definitly down. Had boat problems mojo problems you know all the stuff that goes wrong when you're rushing to your spot. Went home with 4. Many missed shots unfortunately. But overall glad to see the teal flying in big numbers. Successful hunt for me.

Might be a case of "You should be here tomorrow.", as our rice binds didn't see what we did in the marsh, either, though a lot of the flights we saw early were heading north out of the marsh toward the rice, Instead of the normal reverse of that. Most, however, were just milling around the marsh or dropping into it from way the hey up. Whole lot of flock shooting going on out there this morning and precious little "just like a kite" with big bunches in that wind.

Hate it for all the folks who didn't get a fair shot at them this year. They're just too neat not to.

Had the Inda brothers over for a little teal hunting this weekend and we "passed a good time, yeah sha" !!!. Saturday morning was rainy and hot with zero wind, but we did manage to get a few. The front came through that afternoon, so my son and a buddy went out the last few hours to sunset. The wind, for the afternoon, was now out of the north 10 to 15 mph with light rain. They had reported more activity then we had been seeing.

Sunday
This morning was DUCKY, to say the least. North wind 10 to 15 mph and overcast. We had hardly any movement early but managed to put together a decent strap with what would work, later. We did see more activity today then on any other hunt so far. To our surprise, we worked three mallards, two hens and a drake, flying together. We were thinking mottled ducks, until they were just overhead. They're a little early...
