I have only really been duck hunting hard for the last 2 years and this is my second band. Last year I shot a black duck that was banded that also had a transmitter on her back. That was really cool. Im sure it will never happen again.

I always said that I was going to get a nice lookin woodie mounted. when I picked this one up and he had a band, it was a no brainer. And I will definitely post up some pics when I get him back. i am actually having this mount done on a pedestal with sort of "L" or "J" shaped piece of driftwood. This guy is going to be in a standing pose with another woodie drake in a flying pose above him. It should turn out pretty nice.

We shot a banded woodie also and were told the same thing which sounds like BS to me. My computer works whether I'm at work or not. I don't understand why theirs (ours that we pay for) doesn't.

More likely it's website hosting / servers. Still cost's to have them running.

Cool, what part of the state? I've shot a ton of wood ducks in WV, and a banded one is my white whale.

Also, I'm pretty sure that the phone lines are open for reporting of bands.

Tangier, they did answer the phones...at least they did on Oct. 2. They said they couldn't tell us anything due to the government shutdown, but would mail the certificate at some future date.

Awesome, we were just down the street from you for most of last week. Beat up on the woodies, saw a BUNCH of them with a few blue teal mixed in and some bonus greens and mallards. Awful late for the blues, but I took it.

You live in that area?
