hahaha i talked to my uncle about all this hoo haw, and he says " isnt there something else you could prepare for next year? maybe ice fishing? what kind of fish are ya shooting for while your ice fishing" uhh, idk walleyes are nice. " Then go online and learn everything you can about them damn walleye, learn how they act, that way you can hammer them when you get out on the ice" - i guess its back to making calls, and apparently reading about walleye untill next season. Also look into hunting turkey's. They are delicious and and a real challenge to hunt.
Good luck with the walleye, I wish we had those here.

Do you know how long he would be grounded if he got shot and wasn't wearing orange?

I do the same thing with life vests, i could be hunting in 6 inches of water, she'll send me with one for each person we usually just chuck them into the back cattails till were done. She actually asked me once, why i cant wear a life jacket while i shoot ( is anyone starting to see what kind of mom im living with? She could make 100000000 excuses or conditions for my hunting, and in the end, wont let me go) i told her to grab one, and come out with me while my buddies and i were out shooting some clays. see for herself why no-one in the history of anything wore a damn life vest while shooting at ducks. She wouldnt trust me to wear the orange anyways.

Does she also make you wear a helmet while riding your bicycle? Were you ever allowed to jump on a trampoline? Is DJJ by any chance your brother?

Clyde no doubt your mom has your best interest at heart. It's the struggle we have all went through. You want your freedom. Mom wants you safe. Sounds like no one else in family duck hunts? So mom knows nothing about it? It's your job to inform. Talk to her about the things you do to be safe. Handling the gun, maybe you don't hunt certain areas cause the water is deeper?,or you stay away from some spots cause they are more crowded, etc. you got to make her comfortable. If you have a phone tell her you will text her every hour or whatever she wants. Maybe miss the daylight flight and not go till sunrise. Stay calm in your conversations with her and compromise on what it takes
For her to let you go. Take a buddy mom feel safer when your with another person. Don't act like a kid about it if she want give in start preparing your next attempt to persuade her. Talk talk talk!!!! Don't fuss!! Good luck!!
