Prayers to the entire Haydel's family at this very sad time.

How many ducks do you think that guy shot through his life?

If you'd ever watched Eli sit down to a platter of crabs, you'd wonder how many crabs he'd put away, too. Was a crab picking machine.

Ashamed not to know if he had other family, but my thoughts and prayers will be with Rod and Kelly. And will hope there's a sax waiting for Eli on the other side.

I'm giving Rod a call after the holidays, after things settle down, to express condolences. Eli has at least one other son... I think.

Sad to read about this. Never had the privilege to meet Eli but had conversations with Rod about my Haydel duck calls and felt they were a down to earth, likable people. Prayers for the family at this time of loss. See you upstairs Eli.
