first time in the timber

Postby jkm » Fri Nov 29, 2013 8:16 pm

I will be going on my first real timber hunt ( ie. boating in and standing in water for several hours with no blind) I have done quite a bit of field hunting and a few walk in brake hunts but nothing like this. My question is what might I need that you don't normally use in a blind. I will not be in charge of the dog so I will not need a stand for him. The only thing I could really think of was maybe a few hooks of some sort or a few nails and a small hammer. Any info. would be appreciated.

I like to take screw in tree steps but I normally forget em. Other than that you don't need anything special.

Goodwill.... DUH!!!
I went into the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.
