took the ham bone and the juice from baking it and made a big pot of red beans yesterday. Nothing like red beans with the holiday ham bone.
The Cajun 7 Course Meal; 1 lb. of boudin and a six pack of Abita beer.

Not yet, but I didn't eat turkey every meal since Thanksgiving Dinner. I guess I pace my self. Probably be turkey for lunch a few more times and I'm good with that.

I'm really disappointed this year because I love turkey and waffles with turkey grave, but my wife is on a strict diet at the moment and can't have it unless I make everything from scratch so I'm sure of all the ingredients. Which made making Thanksgiving dinner a bit more challenging. Found a turkey nothing added at Whole Foods for about 4 times the normal price, I made home made bread so I could make the stuffing. I had to find a substitute for the butter I use in my stuffing and going in the bird, I was not confident, but coming out it looked good and the only test that matters is that it tasted very good.

Tonight, it's home made oven fried chicken

Hope your wife is not having health problems.
Weight is not that big of an issue in my book.
It can be addressed .

It's a health problem, while serious,it should be addressed effectively. She is on a low iodine diet for a few weeks until she receives her treatment. A quick search will probably tell you why. I've mentioned it elsewhere, but don't really wish to derail this thread.

Hopefully in about a week and half or so she will be off the diet. While I like cooking, every meal from scratch is a lot of work.

My wife had an identical diagnosis a few years back Spinner. Here's hoping they caught it early, and that she makes a speedy recovery. Let me know if either of you have any questions.
