Good Book?

Postby Locked&Loaded » Mon Dec 02, 2013 3:34 pm

Anybody have any good reads lately? I need a new book and am open to suggestions.

And if anyone says '50 shades of grey', I will hunt you down and gut you like a fish.

Anything by Vince Flynn or James Rollins. Just finished a book called The Gray Man. Can't remember the author but a very good read.

I pride myself on never having watched a single episode of DD, so I'm sure as hell not going to read one of their books.

To assist me with my shopping experience on amazon.com, who is the author of this bible of which you speak?

I've heard from others 'last of the market hunters' is a good read. I'd forgotten about that one. Thanks, Charlie!

Unfortunately no. These are Vince Flynn wrote political thrillers AKA spy books. Really good stuff. James Rollins writes political thriller/scifi books. Seriously good reads that are based in enough truth to get you to thinking. And The Gray Man is kinda like Jason Bourne, with a surly disposition...

Its not about the bike by lance armstrong.

Its more about the battle with cancer. It motived me in the marathon running side of my life

This book also has really good stories about labradors honor.

OK those sound good! I generally have about 3 weeks off from work over the holidays and go through a couple of books in that time, so I'll pick one of these up. Thanks!

As somebody who was constantly having run-ins with huge ships, this book was extremely helpful and timely. I highly recommend it if you also struggle with getting, and staying, out of the way of huge ships.

I'm still not sure how I feel about Mr Armstrong, but the lab book sounds worth looking into. The best book I've ever read about hunting dogs is 'tears & laughter' by Gene Hill.

It's a book that I think a man like you would enjoy... I have only read the back cover while it was sitting on some girl's night stand.

If ever I run into a big barge while on the Utah waterways, I'll look into your suggestion.

Poor choice of words on my part ..... replace 'run into' with 'see.'

Oh, you didn't specify you wanted to be bored to death. Thanks for clarifying, will help narrow my search.
