Stay in the city side of the river. The stadium side is the rough side.
Blue bird cafe... never know who you might see.
Wiskey bend.... live music.
wild horse...
Opery....got to go just once
The Ryman Auditorium
Franklin and Brentwood is the richy parts, but they are south of town.

For food Jimmy Kelleys.
Can't remember there is a place by Hooters in the basement great steaks.
I want to say the cellar not sure had my share of beers when there.

Any decent outdoors stores besides the big box stores? Thinking a fishing trip with a guide for a day is in order as well.

The beer cellar is what you speak of. Great place to drink beer. Tootsies is fun for about 10 min but it stays so crowded it's not funny gotta go if you've never been though . I just never go because the beer is always warm because they sell so much it never has a chance to chill in the cooler. I live in Nashville been here my whole life couldn't think of a better place to live. Lower broadway is a good time every bar has live music and no cover usually. A lil crowded but fun. Check out Roberts down there for sure my favorite place down there. 5 bucks will get you a can of PBR a fried bologna sandwich and a bag of chips.West end has some good food and bars as well. They get a tad trendy on that side of town because of how close they are to Vanderbilt but they are fun. Jimmy Kelly's is closed now. If you're staying downtown party all night then go to noshville deli for breakfast and a Bloody Mary. The gulch has some uppity food joints if you're bringing a lady friend . Sambuca and cantina Laredo are awesome. Printers alley is sketchy but has some cool places . I've been all over Nashville at all hours of the night and never felt threatened. Look up the show schedule for 3rd and lindsley and the cannery ballroom they always have good music and the tickets are cheap very small venues though. The country music hall of fame is pretty cool as well. Also don't know what type of fishing you want to do but I've got a striped guide who can put you on some fish . Spring is perfect time for them and you stand a great chance at a 35 lb plus fish that time of year. Plenty of bass guides on old hickory and Percy priest but the size of fish on those lakes won't impress anyone .Feel free to PM me any questions ya have and let me know when you are in town and ill buy you a beer.

Unfortunately they just closed up shop, ATF shut them down for a paperwork issue??? Which is BS since they only sell long guns, and mostly high dollar o/u to Dr's..

We have one of they're old gun cabinets in our duck camp from the liquidation..

Well he is a tourist. Just don't be that guy that buys a cowboy hat and boots then wear it to the bar that night.

I lived in Brentwood for a few years, Nashville is probably one of the cleanest "big" cities in US.
You will probably have a good time any place you go.
There are only two types of people in the world, those who love duck hunting and those who never have duck hunted.

That ought to work! , I love going to the touristy bars because they are packed 7 nights a week. Seriously I use to travel a lot for work and went out in a lot of different cities and nashvilles night life is second to none. Plus I'd put our women up against any in the country . This place is full of hot tail.
