Now that I'm talking about it, I guess that's just how coaching goes, but I liked Mack.
Oh no doubt he was a great coach. Actually he is right behind Darrell K. Royal in wins. He coached Ricky Williams, Vince Young, and Colt McCoy. He was one of our best coaches we've had.
I think what went wrong was after that loss in the 2009 national championship against Nick Saban. He tried to reinvent the program, but it didn't work. He started losing good recruits and we stopped winning for a while. After a while people just stopped believing in him.
I do like our new head coach, Charlie Strong. I like his energy which one of the things Mack Brown lacked. I'm also glad he's not a politician and he's gonna focus on winning games and playing football. That's what we need to get back on a national level.
