Postby daledo » Tue Jan 07, 2014 6:18 pm

Was lucky enough to get drawn next week for handicap blind on the refuge. This will me by first hunt. Any information on types of decoys and how many. Any other info will be appreciated.

Go to the big oak tree turn left. Go 59 feet. Turn 1/2 right . Do a 10 note highball. Go 100 ft. The ducks will fall out of the sky like a strippers panties on Saturday night

There once was a daledo boy from Mattamuskeet.............sorry dude had to do it. Check the site regulations for limits on decoys, shells, rules, etc. Late season, a few decoys in pairs and a jerk string will work. Let the ducks tell how much to call, keep your face hidden, and shoot for the lips
If you believe in the 150 pellets in the 10 inch circle, I guarantee you will miss more turkeys!!

You need 3 speck decoys, 17 hen mallards, 2 drake pintail, and 5 Eurasian Widgeons. Buy a Canada goose call because the cormorants you'll be hunting will respond to it best.
2014 Season Totals:
Mallards: 243
Redheads: 114
Woodducks: 119
Grebes: 36
Blue Geese: 134
Snow Geese: 178
Hawks: 4
