Kidney Stones

Postby uglymug » Fri Mar 14, 2014 8:54 am

Your prayers would be appreciated DHC.
I woke up at 5:30 this morning with the worst abdominal pain I've ever experienced. I was rushed to the emergency room and was told I had kidney stones. One stone is in my bladder so I have a brief respite from that one. There's another making its way down and it hurts like nothing I've ever had before. Anyways I'm home now waiting for them to pass and any prayers/tips/funny stories about kidney stones to distract me would be appreciated. My mom has had kidney stones and given birth and she said having a kidney stones was like giving birth to a kid with golf cleats on.

Lemon juice to help dissolve stones. Whiskey to help cope with the pain.

I'd suggest dilaudid. And lots of it.

Morphine! Its the only thing that will even touch that pain.

I always figured that kidney stones were my punishment for making fun of women when they pulled the giving birth card :(

MarkM has not had one that is so big the pain is so intense that dry hevin is all you can do. You bend over double at the Dr. office door , but can't make it in cause you are huntin so much....that they give you a shot in the butt out side on the side walk just to get U in the door....AND you don't care who see's you azz because the pain is killing you. That prior to gettin to the Dr. Office, the wife runs red lights and is running 75 in a 40 just so she doesn't have to hear the screaming of words that a drunk sailor hadn't heard or said before. And don't forget the tube that is inserted to stop the movement till they can set up a time to put U in the Ultra sound machine to bust them up.
Or the time we're in Richmond Airport after the May NASCAR race and the pain hits and the wife tell you to put on your big boy panties. We're GETTIN on this airplane and flyin home!!!!!! :hammer:

Dilaudid is the best stuff....Its sooooooooooooo goooooooooood. Just like watchin as they put that stuff in. Like a light switch....pain one second.....relief the next. I could get hooked on that shzzzzzz

Lets see.... 1st one back in 88. 2nd 90. 3rd & 4th in 96. 5th one in 98( week off from work on that one. AKA office visit)
6 7 8 .......9th in Richmond...... Heck, I've lost count. Dr keeps telling me to drink more water. Ani't beer like 96% water.

Hump.

Mine was painful enough to double me over and force me to throw up.

Worst pain I have had was when I slightly tore my patella tendon.

A 7.5 vicodin and 1/2 a bottle of whiskey later, I was fine to walk around again.

Well I passed one of the two. That one was pure agony. Just a tad smaller than a BB. According to the ct scan the one in my bladder now is about 2mm in diameter. Hopefully the worst is over.
