And it is doggone good. Sorry about it being blurry. But jerky is jerky.
Shrp I think you started something bad. Now anytime us guys cook something, we will have to take pictures of it. Not talking about sketty O's either. I guess I have to watch what I say. Stouff will have a plastic flamingo in a frying pan in no time. :hammering:

Yummm... venison jerky! (I don't know if it really is venison, but in my head it is!)

We made up a huge batch of some primo venison jerky and sent it to one of our buddies who was stationed in Iraq, along with some store bought jerky and other care package items. When we talked to him after he got the package, I told him I was worried that the homemade jerky would be moldy by the time he got it. He told me it wasn't, but that he wouldn't have cared one bit! Nothing like a little taste of home! Fortunately, he's back now, so he can get his jerky fresh.

Looks good, Snaf!

Wow, that blows my mind kiwi. I thought Jerky/dried meat has been around in most cultures for a long time.(I think) I just watched on "good eats'' (food network) Alton Brown (the guy cracks me up) dried jerky with 4 furnace filters a square house fan and a few bungie cords. Took about 12 hours. He claimed that the cool drying method was better than heated drying.

Shrp, I'm not raggin on ya, but I had a whole bag of jerky with me at Charlotte, just waiting to be shared. I like it cuz it's good when it is 8 gazillion degrees outside in that NC heat. And it is better with beer than ice cream.

Now that sounds like a plan. I'm pretty sure that we could find some good SEC converstation, if we ran out of friendly things to talk about.
