Any New Regs This Season??

Postby Swamp Puppy » Mon Aug 08, 2005 1:04 pm

For Oregon (and most likely washington too) the following noteworthy changes came about this year.

first off..we get ANOTHER 107 day / 7 bird bag liberal season. :salude:

this year we can shoot one pintail per day for the entire season! this is up from the 60 day/one bird per day season we normally have.

the Aleutian Canada Goose has been removed from the federal and state protected species list and can now be collected as part of the 4 bird daily bag.

Cackling Canada geese limit down from 4 birds to 2

White geese limit up to 5 from 4

Scaup (bluebill) limit dropped to 3 from 4

and i believe the early goose season bag limit has been increased by one bird per day also, but i'll need to verify that.

98 - count on it man. I would love to smack some green up there.

Donnell - if it came down to the choice for us to keep our 7 birds and have a shorter season -or- drop our limit to 5 and keep our 107 days. I would take that 5 bird limit in a heartbeat.

same limit on ducks 8/day but our area for goose was in a management zone with a reduced limit of 3. The restriction was lifted and we can now shoot 5/day(this being for canadas only, white geese is 20/day)

:salude:
Is it september the 8th yet???

I gotta get to New Zealand someday... that's alot of GREEN

I read somewhere on the internet that the Central Flyway Council has proposed that no Mallards can be "harvested" North of the I-40 without a Mallard Management Harvest Permit.
