What does everyone have planned now that the waterfowl season is virtually over, besides the conservation order for flying carp?

I plan on playing a little more golf this year with some flyfishing every chance I get. I might try to bag me a turkey if time permits. I doubt I will do any snow goose hunting. I might try sneaking up on some if they ever show up. I hear the cow silhoettes work pretty well.

Hopefully I can get out to shoot a few carp and turkey. Then this summer my buddy and I are going to be putting a blind on our boat. And if im lucky I will have my mustang by then also and I can start the conversion to stuff a LS1 in there

What year Mustang...I've played with a bunch of 'em. Still couldn't do an LS1, though...

I plan to hunt coyotes and flying carp, and will probably get out for turkey. Besides that, working on food plots and selective cutting some timber, and all the odd jobs that come with hunting like painting dekes, etc.

Ya ya ya... I know ford car chevy motor, but I like both. But the 351W only put out 290 at the crank stock 250 if you have the 2 barrel carb. The LS1 puts out 350 stock and is stronger. Also its cheaper to and easier to do than a windor in my opinion. I am looking for a 96 or newer but I just talked to a guy and he has one for sale thats a 98 so hopefully I'll have one by this time next week. I already talked to Bill and he likes the idea alot.

Besides..How many people do you know that has a LS1 Mustang and how many have 351W Mustangs?

I know what you're saying about building up a car like that, it's cool to see a totally custom car.

As for my off season, it's gonna be lots of dog training! I'm going to be doing a lot of hunt tests. Other than that, it'll be working and saving for next season. I've got plans for a new boat and possibly joining a club. I'm also going to get my Insurance Agent's license in May, so I can start working at the family agency.

i'd put a lot of money on it being cheaper and pretty easily could be stronger putting a windsor in there than the ls1. dont get me wrong i like the ls1 it is a hell of a motor, but cheaper, not even in the ballpark. :salude: think about how many different years and models a 302/351 based motor has been in. you can get just about any parts you need for pocket change. and second you are comparing apples to oranges, why go carb in the 351 but sfi in the ls1. why not go efi? and if you are going carb why bottle neck it with the 2 barrel. there are plenty of cheap 351 set ups that an ls1 in the same price range couldnt touch. all of this is of course without knowing what year it is going in. then comes the transmissions for both of them, and thats a whole other can of worms that i wont open for now...

back on topic...until i get a new vehicle, that is where most of my time will be spent, and other than that, working to afford toys as usual. and i'll probably tag along with some of brian's off season adventures.

oh ****, i just reread your post and it said bill likes the idea. i'm sure he would, his car is slower than it was when it was stock. would probably go faster if he put it in nuetral and let it roll. not only that i really only know of one other person in the area that has a 96+ with a 351. if you plan on going 351 then look for a 94-95, that is the same body style, but is still the 302 so you will have less conflicts. if you go ls1 you'll have to change everything possible anyway so it doesnt matter, hell just look for a roller of the year you want, you'll be better off if you really want the ls1.
