Has anyone in MO seen or killed a brant. They are listed in the waterfowl digest and I was just wondering if anyone has seen one.

I have not got one but I know a guy that has. He was in northwest missouri? But I saw one last season that was sitting alone on the river. I tried but I didnt have a way to get close enough to get him. When he flew off he acted like he was wonded. But thats the only one I ever have seen that was alive.
If they weren’t meant to be eaten, then why are they made of meat?
