Geese!!

Postby H20fwlkillr » Tue Aug 01, 2006 11:22 am

I wish that early goose season would hurry up and get here.....I had 46 giant canadians on my pond this morning. Its a little early to be seeing big groups like this. Maybe we are gonna get an early winter??? I'll post some pics soon.
I'll start treating my wife as good as my dog when she starts fetching ducks.

I would love to see an early winter here!!! But for geese I have seen anything yet down on the river, but then again its been 100+ every day so far and I dont want to go out there.
If they weren’t meant to be eaten, then why are they made of meat?

You hunt the Mo river? I went hunting for geese w/ my nephew last year in some bottom land by Lexington. Outstanding hunting. Shot our limits in 30 min.

H20,

Where at are ya located in Missouri? I live in Quincy,IL, just a quarter mile drive over the bridge and I'm in MO. I hear ya about early season, got some buds that hunt on the Missouri side and they put the hammer on them.

You ever hunted Mark Twain Lake?

I live 50 miles SE of KC. About the only geese I see are the giants. Its alright with me though. 2 years ago, I shot one with a 7'2" wingspan.
