Why we love our dogs

My dog and son are both 8 years old, they have learned so many things together. I have been lucky to have a dog and son that love hunting as much as me :grooving: . Lucy has retrived ever bird my son has ever shot. There have not been many but everyone has been special in its own way. It is amazing to see the bond between them grow. From his first duck to his, latest cackler goose. I think this picture shows it all. Thank God for our kids and dogs. Hunting wouldn't be near as mush fun with out them.

My boy turns one tomorrow and my pup has loved him since she saw him. She turned 13 this year. She is gonna retire now unless she can talk me into an early season hunt or two next year. Her last retrieve was one of her best one a wounded goose. Just seeing how the dog and boy love each other is something special.

Hopefully next year Cabella will be getting our ducks for us and my son won't be so wore out after a trip hunting.
