I call public BS on this one. A weekend warrior isn't going to draw in more than 50% of the time, and with only 8 weekends in a season, that means that you're looking at only 8 limits per season, maximum. That means it would take AT LEAST 13 years to shoot a hundred limits of ducks, so your 16 year old would have had to go with you since he was 3 in order for you to have a fair comparison of 100 limits for you = one duck for him. Nobody in their right mind takes a 3 year old duck hunting. You seem to be in your right mind. Ergo => public BS.

I learned that on the internet. You're welcome.

You should stop complaining. Or take up drinking and smoking. I learned that on the internet as well. You're welcome.

No, no, no. Drummo you got it all wrong. I can say this and know that it is all true because I learned something on the internet also. Remember, I was told that I am stupid. Since I'm stupid there is no point in you trying to confuse me with facts! :lol3:

After smoking for 28 years I was able to quit a little over 3 years ago, ain't gonna pick that habit up agian. As far as drinking, only on weekends or possibly on any day whose name ends with a 'y'. Since I don't want to smoke anymore can I just drink twice as much to use up all my duck club money? (instead of the  right here we need a "high five" smiley)

Nice try, but I'm the one who needed the GED, remember? I've got HALF the brains you've got, pea brain!

Congratulations on kicking the habit. I don't see why you can't drink twice as much. Heck, I'd even buy you one, but... saving up for the island fund, you know.

On a somewhat related note, I heard an ad on the radio for something called the "Isle of Capris" near Boonville. Anyone heard anything good about this place? I mean, I don't want to steal anyone's spot, but it's an awfully long walk to check it out, so I thought I'd see if anyone had heard anything good about it before I started burning up the shoe leather on my RIGHT foot. Also - anybody have any idea what an island goes for in that area? I'm getting AWFULLY hungry. Thanks in advance!

The Isle of Capris just opened in Cape Girardeau in November. I have been there once and we didn't have to take a boat to get on this Isle but it must be one or they wouldn't have named it that. I think it would be rather costly to purchase but who knows? You may be able to make enough to buy it just by being there. I stuck $20 in a fancy change machine (I'm stupid remember) and it must have been broke because after a bunch of lights went off it never did give me my change but spit out a ticket that I was able to put in another change machine, that didn't have a bunch of lights on it, and it gave me $280. I thought this was pretty neat so I decided I would try and take advantage of this malfunction and put another $20 in the same machine and the lights all started flashing and blinking again and carrying on for a while but that dang thing never gave me nothing back so I just left with my extra $240. I haven't found a duck club that will let me join for that $240 yet, but I'm gonna keep trying. When I asked this I got the same reply from a few of them "What are you? Stupid?". To which I answered "why yes I am, thank you".

Kdog - First, I ask for :help: , but you don't give me a cup of ginger.
Next, I ask for a left shoe... and nothing.
Finally, you make a reference to preparing food when you KNOW I haven't eaten anything but shoe leather in three days.

I'm starting to wonder why I like you. :lol3:

Well that's just WAY out of my walking range. I suppose I could drive there, but with no guarantee that I'd WIN like you, I just can't see why I would bother. Unless someone could guarantee that it would be worth my time... Anyone have any ideas?

Too far away....Don't want to waste the time and gas unless you are guaranteed to win.... Hold on, maybe the casino can start an online program where people who live too far away can enter by computer and be guaranteed to win if they get chosen out of the thousands that enter. All they have to do is show up after being chosen and they win, if they don't show up then they will let the patrons that just show up without a guarantee share the chance of winning with the others that showed up without a guarantee. Nah... That would be really dumb.

Not so fast.... here's an idea worthy of my 200th post. What if they called it "QuickWin" and they financed it with a 1/8 cent sales tax? Then they could implement it in the dark of night, make sure that any public input was silenced or ignored, and pick winners through a non-transparent "random" drawing over which they have complete control? Almost sounds like a conspiracy, doesn't it?

It's probably just the hunger pangs talking. I'm gonna lie down and chew on my other shoelace for a while.

Up and down the Mississippi? What about the poor folks on the west side of the state? Those folks want to win too! I call public BS!
MTI will back me up on this one, once he and the Howells return from the Carribean... I'm certain of it.
