Semo duck lease

Postby Dman11377 » Mon Mar 11, 2013 8:11 pm

I have been leasing in the sikeston area for quite a few years now. We have not had very good luck in this area at times it can be decent but not very consistent. I hear rumors of big numbers in fields in semo just curious what kind of success others are having and what area in semo would be recommended to look for a new lease. Also if anyone has any contact info for someone leasing quality fields would be greatly appreciated. The past three years we have shot 200 ducks in 2010, 21 in 2011, and 24 in 2012. I have talked to some other groups in are area and they said 100 bird year is pretty good in this area. We hunt 20 to 30 days a season and tell me if I'm wrong but I don't feel 50 to 100 birds hunting that much with a group of 4 to 6 guys is very good. Thanks again for any info.

I'm in the same situation. We hunted just south of Sikeston last year and only killed 123. I know its late for me to be looking for a lease, but a deal I had lined up in Arkansas has fallen through. I have 6-10 guys lined up just looking for a good field and someone we can trust to lease from. Any help you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated.
