St. Charles or Lincoln county clubs or you might find a pit group on the Illinois side. $3500-$5000 is the norm or you can slug it out on public ground. Its very competitive a lot of hunters with limited access. Limits to be had if you work at it scout just as much as you hunt or just bust out the checkbook.

You're not too far from Eagle Bluffs. I'd stick around there. Go try the poorline and have a backup private spot.

If I lived in columbia I would be in the poor man line at grand pass every morning with work on speed dial so I can get the duck flu in case you draw a spot.

Eagle Bluffs is good, but its only if you pull good. top 2 or 3 on average days. Im also in como, and trust me, you dont want that spot to be your main option. I would rather scratch a duck a day on a private lease than poor line every day and hope I can pull the 1 pill. Put in the stupid QD's and hope but dont waste a season on that gamble.

Is private land hard to come by or pretty easy?

Learn to drive. Como has limited public areas because gp sl eb and fg draw a lot of the ducks.
