Boat lighting question.

Postby teal12 » Tue Jul 16, 2013 8:43 am

I have an 8 foot bass hunter baby bass boat that I have built a blind for and plan to use it on small lakes and ponds but I want to be totally legal with my lighting and registration. Is there any regulations that I will need to abide by as for lighting requirements or registration. Ill be hunting some public land

You'll need your navigation lights, life jacket, throw seat.

What light are required for navigation lights? And how would you recommend powering them?

They sell clamp on battery operated units. Looks like a flashlight. Red/green light like $15 at Walmart should be plenty good for your small boat

^ x2. I wouldn't register a baby bass boat thingy, whatever that is, or a layout boat for nothing. Ever. Pay too much in taxes now. (Any is too much)

What tall said ....and i doubt you would even get a ticket if you had a motor on it ....guarantee the ticket would be cheaper than registering Have never heard of anyone getting a ticket on a CA

never seen anyone ticketing on CAs for boats/layouts registration.

the state of missouri likes to stick it to you. taxes for trailers and 4wheelers and boats and motors...they find a way to get their hand in your pocket anyway they can...

i wouldn't register it! if you have a truck, just pull it around in the pickup bed.
