I didnt do to bad, I got in a Bob Brown on Novemer 18, My buddy got Drawn for Nodaway on the 29 of October.

Now get this, my dad got drawn for the 18 of November at Bob Brown, samw day as me. But what sucks is hes not going!!! Since my Cousin feels she has to get married on the 11th of november (opening day for Deer) in Texas, there will be no chance for deer hunting that weekend. So hes going deer hunting the next weekend for sure which is the weekend of his reservation. So go figure the one chance you get to take 8 people to go hunt with on the same day at a reservation you cant! And I dont think theres going to be much of a chance for him to change his mind because hes not like me where duck hunting is first and everything else comes second.
If they weren’t meant to be eaten, then why are they made of meat?

None for me. Luckily my dad recruits new duck hunters so he puts in their reservations for them. If they get one, then we get to go. The best result of this was a couple of years ago. One guy drew Shanks opening day. He pulled pill 2, and pill 1 was never drawn. We hunted L3 and limited out on ducks and killed a goose. Lets just say they were hooked. We also had a Eagle Bluffs/Grand Pass weekend on reservations.

I was drawn for 12/8 at Ted Shanke's and my father-in-law was drawn for 12/15. I guess if it is froze up, I will get two three day weekends in a row. NO WORK!

I feel lucky. There were four of us and we all got reservations. All in December. The 12/1 at EB intrigues me.

12/1 Eagle Bluffs
12/6 Shanks
12/21 Eagle Bluffs
12/24 Fountain Grove

I got drawn for 12/13 at Ten Mile Pond  . Shouldn't be froze up but still plenty cold. I haven't been able to get a hold of my brother or hunting buddy to check their stupid numbers. The suspense is killing me!!!!!

My buddy got 12/28 at EB. Guess it depends how harsh the winter is whether or not it is even going to be worth going.

Two years ago he got 12/14...and ice was covering everything. Let's hope it will be a good hunt this year!

I hunted there about that time last year. Same circumstances. Froze solid except where the duck were keeping it open. They were only holding about 5,000 birds but we were lucky and got in where they were. Four of us had 24 ducks in 45 minutes. That was pretty intense.

I'm just worried there's not going to be enough water and everyone is going to be going to the few places that do. Resulting in highly pressured birds that stay in sanctuaries or move on south.

webfoot, from what i have seen this year we have several small ponds holding good water and several small lakes in good shape.
where i hunt the water runs from 6inches to two foot........ this small amount of rain we have had helped......
most of the hunting aeras are pumped so water should be ok...... not real deep but should hold good birds....
