Well its pretty dry, drew pill number 2 out of 47, and two of us killed 8 greenheads and finished off our limits with shovelers. Awesome opening day.

FIRST TIME AT FOUR RIVERS

Postby die_ducks » Fri Nov 24, 2006 1:54 am

I have reservations for November 30th at Four Rivers. Thing is I have never hunted there before. Can someone tell me:
#1- Do I need a boat?
#2- Is the hunting good
#3- What is the best hole
Thanks if you can help.

Go on the conservation website and see if they are killing birds down there.

Well the hunting has been slow at four rivers, if you draw good i would go on the west side, if not the north side. The north sucks if the wind is from the south. I hvae had some really good days when the overall average is really slow.

A boat isnt mandatory, but it does make it alot easier hauling gear, if you dont have a boat talk to the guys at the window and they will point you in the right direction.

If anyone wants to meet up with me, I have three spots open. I will be in a blue '01 Dodge Ram with a layout boat in the back. I will be there at approximately 4 am.

Call the headquarters before you go out there. I was out there Saturday and the birds are not around oh and there is a good 4 inches of ice. They didn't even have a draw today.
