Of Course...

Of Course we'd get a quick draw when it's all iced up. Anybody think taking an ice-eater and blowing out a hole would work at Grand Pass this weekend?

There sayin on the recording that they have 5 in of ice now. I would say take the chainsaw and cut open a whole and put the iceeater in to keep it from freezing back up.

if you've got an ice eater, use it!

I'm not concerned about getting the eater in the water, it's everything else lol.

Will we have enough time to get a hole open and hunt?
Will the birds be able to find the open hole or has their pattern changed too much?

We got 24 and 40 on Sunday. There must have been nobody applying. Not gonna use the 40 I don't think. I was so bummed when I saw my email that said "Waterfowl Reservation Success" and it said pill 40 out of 40.

6 hunters yesterday 14 today. Don't worry about your 40 pill just worry about the 5 inches of ice. Buy the biggest brown tarp you can find and cut the keels off your ducks or use shell decoys set them on the tarp with full bodies on the edge.

I have #11 tomorrow and couldn't get any friends or family to go bust ice with me and too dangerous to hunt solo.

I guess I'll just stay on the river. I think it's just the irony of getting drawn for the first time after putting every day of the season for 3 seasons and it's locked up solid with no end in sight.

Ya, "quick draws here, I got 19 of them for Saturday, and 7 for Sunday, which should we hunt Joe?" we should give the poor guy who puts in every day of his life and cant even get a crappy QD let alone like 5 million in one weekend lol :hi:
