Field Hunt Question

Postby MOduckMOfun » Wed Dec 11, 2013 8:57 am

Has anyone ever hunted a field using floating decoys they removed the keels from? I don't have full bodies, but the floaters I have have removable keels. And I have a few mojos. Would this work or would I be wasting my time?

I have seen them work without removing the keels so the answer is yes.

throw out about a hundred snows, few specks and a dozen canadas, mix in some mallards and pintails, and if your in a decent area, your in for one heck of a hunt! just make sure you turn off the mojos if geese are working. they can sometimes flare geese.

I don't have any goose decoys so that shouldn't be an issue for me, but thanks for the advice.
