Welcome, Mike! Glad to have you here. There are a bunch of guys here with a ton of experience, and I know I have picked up a thing or two here. Your pup ought to be good to go at a year old-some guys take 'em out a lot earlier than that. Good luck to you, and please, feel free to ask questions and share your experiences with us. Once you start, it only leads to addiction.

Thank you for your service to our country, all of us are in debt to you.

I also greatly appreciate your service.

I wish that I was that selfless at times!

Like I said in the Hunting Dog forum, you picked a great time for a pup because you have all summer for training. Just don't expect the dog to be perfect its first season out, and you will both have a blast.

Hey fellas. I'm new to this board and just thought I say hello. I am a law student over in KC, but have hunted all over Missouri except here. I'm orignally from St. Charles area. I'm looking forward to getting to know the ducks around these parts. I just bought me a couple of layout boats, and trying finish the blinds on them before next season. Let me know if anybody wants to hook up out here and hammer some birds. I'm always looking for a good huntin buddy, and I don't know a soul out here.

I know what youy mean. My pond is down about 3'. I hope these light rains keep going til the season opens. Maybe it would amount to something by then.

Its gonna take a whole lot more rain than I got to do me any good. All I got was a 1/4". KC is getting rain now, but it looks like it will go north of me.
