Thanksgiving Morning Duck Hunt

Postby phutch30 » Mon Nov 28, 2005 11:35 am

I went out Thursday morning to shot a few birds and try out my new boat. I found the lake frozen and most of the birds reluctant to fly. I did manage a limit of green though so it was worth it ...I think. I had to bust thru 100 feet of 2" ice to launch the boat. And the lake froze over more while I was hunting, so I almost couldnt bust through to get back to the launch. what looks like open water in the back ground isnt. Its sheet ice about 1/2" thick. Fun Stuff.
