I noticed we are all interested in bag limits. The best way to avoid a violation of breasts in posession: eat them.
We eat duck several days a week, and I was wondering if you guys have any good recipes we could share. I often cook several birds, eat them for dinner, and use the leftovers for lunch. This way, between me and Cody, we can use up both of our limits in a day or two.
duck breasts (goose/grouse work,too!)
1 bunch celery
1 (1lb.) bag baby carrots
salt & pepper
Place duck breasts (usually 2-3 per person eating, but don't fill more than 2/3 of your slow cooker) in crock pot/slow cooker. Fill with carrots, celery, and 1/2 onion, all chopped. Add water (so that slow cooker is 3/4 full). Add small amounts of salt and pepper. Cook on low for 4 hours, stirring occasionally. After four hours, drain most of the water.
In a separate bowl, have prepared: 1 can cream of mushroom soup and 1 can milk. Mix very well.
Add soup mix to crock pot, and stir. If this fills less than 1/2, add another soup mixture. Cook on low two hours. Add salt and pepper to taste.
This recipe works great, but I made it up so there is plenty of room for improvement. I once added potatoes, but they took forever to cook. Any suggestions, let me know.
Post your recipes as well, please. Thanks!
Have a good one, fellas!
