Any REAL Men Left......

Postby TopWop » Sun Oct 23, 2011 12:25 pm

By this time previous years, people had posted pics of all their Monster
Bulls & Bucks. Since Nonya's absence there aren't anymore Antelope through
the eye at 1000yds with a sling shot. Pope & Young Bulls where you actually
threw the arrow with your non-dominant hand because you were skinning a
Wolf with the other. I've been stuck trying to live vicariously threw a handful
of mottled duck pics. I guess he was the last REAL man on here.

If you are asking me why I haven't contributed? I'm not much of a big game
hunter. Appears to be lots of walking, my heels get stuck in the mud and
I hate when my skirt gets full of burs. I like game that I can stick in my vest,
or throw on a loop and hang on my shoulder.

Not me. Im too picky in archery season. An if yesterday was any indication, im pretty incompetent with a rifle. We found a couple nice bulls on Friday am and saw them again that evening. But somewhere between 630pm fri and 725am sat they turned into dusky grouse....at least thats all we found after an 8 mile round trip with an early morning hump in the dark from 5930' up to 8976' to get to the meadow/avalanch chute they were using. Gunna wait till some cold weather and snow shows up befor going out again.

On a different note. A duck hunter (must be after coots) on Clark Canyon reportedly had a rifle bullet go zipping through his blind this am. Ahhh opening weekend of rifle season!
....its like taking x-lax when you have a bad cough. It wont clear up your lungs, but it sure stops you from coughing

I did some duck hunting the morning then gave the elk and deer a laugh as they watched me wander through the woods aimlessly...

I have yet to see an elk, let alone a shooter bull...Kind of frustrating. Guess that will happen in your first season ever elk hunting!
