Pulled a quick hit-and-run over T-day

Postby Troutslayer » Tue Nov 29, 2011 10:30 pm

Man it sucks not being in Montana during hunting season. I was there for a couple of days and got to hunt over my one year old. She brought in a couple of limits and her first band. Everywhere I took this dog she was running around finding other peoples dead ducks and a pigeon. Birdiest dog I've ever seen and high but containable energy. Mega props to my trainer Butch Higgins of Parkdale Kennels in Rainier OR. He made my dog a machine.

I also took my 11 YO out one day. She's dying of cancer and probably doesn't have too many more hunts left in her. She ran down roosters like she was 5 and brought a tear to my eye over all the good times we've had together.

how come you shot 4 pheasants?
....its like taking x-lax when you have a bad cough. It wont clear up your lungs, but it sure stops you from coughing

Sorry to hear about your dog. I too am watching my girl in her elder years.

Great pics.
Rest in Peace, Ryder. Boy, you went before your time, in the start of your prime. You were loyal and are missed.

Nice pics, nice dogs. Must have been nice to be back in MT if even for only a couple of days.
