MHGDC Anyone?

Postby TopWop » Tue Feb 21, 2012 9:45 pm

I'm joining the Missouri Headwaters Gun Dog Club.
I talked to one of the contacts from the club and they are
always looking for new members.
I know I am the only one here that doesn't have a "perfect"
dog. If anyone is looking to keep their pooch in top form this
sounds like a great idea. They have dogs from all levels and
people to help. One of the things I'm looking to get out of this
is to better socialize Rocki around other people and dogs.
Since her and I hunt alone a lot, when we get around other dogs
and hunters she seems to act the fool. I know none of you have
EVER said " I don't know why my dog is acting like this, this never
happens" Unfortunately I have.
What Rocki doesn't know is that she will be getting professionally
FF and CC in April. I'm just throwing this out there in case some of
you might be interested. It's only $35.00 a year and you can also
work with the Upland group in case you are interested in cross training.
www.MHGDC.org is the website for contact info.

Hope to meet and/or see some of you out there.

Its a great little organization. I'm one of those guys that enjoys playing the dog games, but in the end all I'm really after is a dog to hunt with. It may be hard for some to see the benefit in training a dog like we do, but in the end its all just a matter of teaching your dog how to work with you as a team.

I've been part of this group for the last 4 years, so if anyone has any questions let me know.
