First bowfishing trip of the year

Postby phutch30 » Mon May 15, 2006 3:23 pm

First trip out bowfishing this year and our shooting was proof. We missed 8 fish for every one we stuck. Anyway we ended up with 29 carp 12-almost 30lbs,only 2 fish in the 12lb range everything else was in the upper teens and 20's. They were just starting to spawn. It sure was fun.

Nyuk, nyuk..... I know that landing. Stopped there to swim the dog on the way to Colorado this week and noticed a few dead goldfish at the water's edge. Didn't even know they were in the CC rez. Shoot 'em all.

By the way, Canyon Ferry carpfest is June 3. I poked a bunch in the shallows there last week.

Well come on down here and shoot some real carp. I like canyon ferry for numbers but Clark wins the pot for size. I am going to stick some more on Sun.
