In conjunction with State,Fed,Wildlife services and several Conservation and Hunting Groups we are hosting a Youth WF/Upland Day at Freezeout Lake WLR the 16th of September 2012 from 9am to 3pm. It is for youths 10 -15 years old and they do NOT have to have completed Hunters Safety. Youths must be accompanied by an adult, one adult may serve multiple youths. Call Bob Johnson @406-727=7400 ext 226.
The kids will participate in not only hunters ethics, game ID,Regs, and the like, but will also participate in Upland Gun Dog demonstrations. We will also present decoy setting, calling instruction, and game retrieval by trained gun dogs. There will also be shooting instructors on hand and they will get to do some shooting. (shotgun)
Our dog club has presented and sponsored this event for the past 7 years and provides lunch for all the participants and some other perks. It is a fun day for not only the kids but for the presenters too.
Youths must pre register so if you know of any future bird hunters please encourage them to call Bob and register. Hope to see lots of people there, our record so far is 37 participants. If you have any other ???? PM me. Wayne
