Big game opener

Postby jberg440 » Fri Aug 31, 2012 10:20 pm

Well i am finally getting my crap together at 10:15pm the night before! Planning on getting the fiancé her first white tail with a bow in the morning. To everyone else planning on getting out good luck and hunt safe!
The man banging on the door kept yelling "Alcohol, Tobbaco, and Firearms!" I just assumed it was more supplies.

Had a 130ish 5x5 still in velvet at 5yds....worst part is we can only shoot does at this place. Also had a doe come in at 20yd and the misses got a nasty case of doe fever!!

I've seen a few whities in the past month that phutch would shoot on his canadian hunts. Kinda makes me want to chase deer instead of elk...

The one Im after is a cripple, but hes still too smart for me. Actually he aint smart just super eratic in his travels. He never leaves or enters the field in the same place. Not being able to elk hunt around here is killing me. I guess I could but that would be foolish. went out one evening so far saw 7 cow and 3 calves then a little later had a small 3x4 come birdoggin into where I was calling from without making a sound. Came into about 45 yards before he saw me standing there.

Hes somewhere between 90-170 inches. Hes got a 9" kicker coming off his right beam, one brow is about 8-9" and forks and some other goofy points

Don't start.
Rest in Peace, Ryder. Boy, you went before your time, in the start of your prime. You were loyal and are missed.

Phutch made me do some NH ritual for a 1st time whitey bow kill while singing Moooooooon River (imagine Fletch scene), standing over the buck in a man thong & screaming for Nonya's mule....where you at son?

Nice buck Phutch. Hoping for one of similar stature on my Marias hunt in a couple weeks.

Put this bull in the freezer on the 2nd Sunday of the season. Came in Silent. 12 yard shot.
