I couldnt smile in the pic. I actually had to bite the birds throat to kill it. So I had feathers and blood in my teeth.

I dont smile after I kill

Stone cold! You know anything about turkeys in the NE part of the state? I'm gonna be up that way right around the opener and am thinking about taking a shotgun and camo to give it a try but I have never been to that part of the state.

Had 3 jakes in the dekes in the am. Weather sucks.
My best spot the owner died so Im back to square 1. Same place topwop missed one at 25 yards when he had the tag after we waited out a hail storm.

My best spot I cant hunt till the owner gets back from vacation next week. 7 big toms strutting there fri morn.

Oh well still a couple days left to get it down.

In the last week I stopped at 8 ranches and called 6 more. The places that said yes, dont have turkeys this year eveyone else said No No No No. Had a big tom all by itself gobbling like crazy on a ranch but the little old lady said she doesnt allow hunting anymore. Weather was less than ideal.

Top that place we stopped and talked to the rancher out discing his feild doest have any birds on it.

Those jakes are starting to look good aren't they? I would have plugged one, turkey hunting is one thing where I do not give a crap how big it is as long as I get one.

I was talking about the Dr's from Butte.
The birds are usually visible from the highway.

Yea where we chased them around for a while. next to the river. No birds there yet. But if you find the number let me know. They could show up later

Still have your limited draw tag then right? Hey how many points did you have last year when you drew your rifle bull tag?

Nice, I didn't realize you could get a points breakdown for successful draws!

I was curious more than anything. I'm moving out to NE MT so I will probably blast my points on the breaks archery tag next year.
