New birds

Slept in this morning and awoke to 6 inches of fluffy new snow, which was a real surprise because the weatherman never said much about snow. While I was out shoveling snow, a group of 80 snow geese flew over my house really low. We NEVER see snow geese up here. At about 11:00 the sky started to clear, and the geese and some ducks came pouring in from the north, mostly geese. Got a call from friend that found a field with about 3000 mallards, and was fortunate to go because the guy who owns it doesnt let many people on. Needless to say 5 of us shot 34 mallards and 1 pintail. Forgot my camera, will try to get a pic from a friend.
Good hutin,
