paddlefish pics

The fishing was awsome. I caught more paddle fish in 2 hours on Sun than I have in my life combined, I hooked 14 and landed 12. We also caught a mess of catfish.

The first one I caught I tagged and it was a male. All the others were caught on Sunday after the season closed on a catch and release day.

nice work. What do you do with them? How does the meat taste? The eggs are edible? Do they fight hard? Sort of a mystery surrounding their whole existence, these weird prehistoric creatures that eat plankton and live in our rivers. I want to catch one. That one you're holding kind of looks like he's sad.

You are only allowed to bonk one per year, then its snag and release. They make caviar out of the eggs. The meat is really good, had some last night, and man do they pull hard.

This what my 11' rod looks like with a dinky 20lber heading for North Dakota. The big females bend it like a noodle.
