I've hunted the dakotas, and go on a couple trips to canada every year, but the dakotas are getting a little to crowded for a freelancer like myself. I like hunting smaller potholes and love field hunting for honkers, specs, snows, and of course mallards and pins. I was wondering if any of you would just have some general ideas on some good areas in your state with potholes and grainfields. Or if any of that even exists.

Thanks in advance!

NE MT is part of the PPR, and I beleive that is what you are looking for. More than that, and you'll need to have a MT resident be posting up as I have not hunted MT at all. You may want to check the maps of the USFWS of the PPR so you get a better idea of the area.
