Cooler weather.

Postby YouMadBra » Sun Aug 19, 2012 10:06 pm

With these somewhat cooler temps this past week, I was just curious if any one out scouting has seen any teal moving into the area. I've been out looking but haven't seen anything yet. We still have roughly three weeks till the start of early teal but I was wondering what others may have seen.

I saw a bunch Wednesday night South of Lexington when i was out scouting my opening morning spot. I think Tuesdays north wind brought in new birds. But with this new cold front we have coming through today who knows whats around now or if its bringing more new birds. Hopefully its the later of the two. I'm gonna go out this evening and set up my spread for tomorrow morning. I'll report back if I see anything.

We had a couple spots that were holding a few hundred. but that cold front Thursday night really hurt us. We only saw 30-40 but we still scratched out a 3 man limit. hopefully, tonight will be better than yesterday

heard plenty of shooting on the Platte and saw several 10-30 bwt groups flying the river on the east side of the state Sat and Sun. Too bad more didn't like our little pond. Only 4 made that mistake. Still better than a shutout I guess
