how far do you shoot your geese

i know its a little late but i was wondering how far do you guys feel comfortable at shooting geese personally any thing over a forty yards is getting out there.
miss him once shame on me, miss him twice on me agian, miss him three times damit! reload and watch where that SOB lands this isnt over.

Most of the time we shoot geese at about 35 or 40 yards. We dont like to see them much farther than that. I will admit that we have shot on them farther than that, but not by choice. :drinking: :drinking: :drinking:
Dont shoot where they have been, shoot where they are going.

We shoot most between 30 and 40 yards. We don't group shoot if they're further than 45. There are two in our group though, myself included, who feel we shoot ethically at further distances. We are both very good shots and use shell, gun, and load combinations that can effectively harvest birds at ranges beyond 45 yards. If we have a group coming into the decoys he and I tend to let everyone else shoot first and then we gun down any wounded birds or ones that are leaving the scene that the others probably wouldn't be able to drop.
