Got a few gift cards to blow at Cabelas - about $100 worth. What do you think - new waders or lay out blind? I'm tempted to go for some full body duck decoys, but I've got too many decoys as it is.

I didnt know you could have too many decoys???

I just got a new layout blind form them. What kind of hunting do you do? Do you hunt many fields, or do you mainly hunt water? You cant go wrong with the Super mag1600 waders. I got a pair 2 years ago and havent been cold since.

Those supermags are as nice as it gets when it comes to waders. Cant go wrong with that choice

My feet used to get cold in a matter of minutes untill I got them. I can only remember 1 time that my feet or myself have gotten cold in them. That time it was about 10 out and a 30 mph wind and your waders froze to you as soon as you got out of the water.

I have had a day like that...it was like being in a body cast when the water on my waders froze solid. Got to love days like that huh?

Any day I can get out and hunt is a good day. I guess that is why we have heaters in the blind. I think we only saw like 2 ducks all day long, but the coffee and eggs were good

My waders are pushing 7 seasons now and leak nice and slow - I could use some new ones. Don't do much field hunting, but think I could really get into it with a lay out blind. The waders are becoming more and more tempting though.

I would go with the waders. You will use them more than a blind. I wear mine everytime I go out, water or field.
