56 pounds of Mac W/pics and videos

So what a weekend!!! There is nothing like fishn in hard winds and small waves.. Tahoe would of been the bearing sea with the sustained winds and her blustry gusts.. When you are in neutral and the wind is blowin a big boat around at 3.5 even a little more with a gust.. It's F@#$%) Windy.....

So now that the feild is described the family and I went to Silver... With the weather report we left the little Dingy at home and took Tahoes virginty out of the big boat.. Which has been in a relationship with Tahoe only for last couple years... That's where the Dingy was put together. Back to the report

Show up friday evening just before sunset. To one other decent sized boat out in the black Alpine Lake. I have seen Silver worse and been in worse. Having the full enclosure was the only way to go in a stinging NE wind.. Not to mention the thiry thousand BTU's of love.. Its like home.. Boat in water frog suit off after launch.. I head straight across to the waterfalls on the east shore for some needed cover.. Two rods out Big AC and Big Rapla.. As the sun swept away and dark started to fall.. Inside riggers' Hummm changed. Look outside and the pole is lookn like its gonna break.. Ten minutes into it and one good run plug and Monster Mac Gone.. Every year for the last fifteen years this has happened to me on the first trip to Silver.. Every Year.. I'm flippn pist... So we go back, load the boat up and go to camp and the wife made me feel better about it.. But still pissed.. Saturday we go back to the inlet side again, do the same thing.. Now with the gates and hours on Tahoe I haven't used my boat lights and spotlight since they stopped changing the gate hours.. I forgot how F%^&*( cool the dash lights looked in pure darkness.. Even the spotlight still worked.. WOW!!!! Twenty minutes into troll the wife has her Huge seven inch AC in Rainbow and I tied another F18 in black in silver with custom paint from the wife.. Both riggers are at twenty five and forty.. All of a sudden the F18 goes crazy comes off rigger and the pole burries to the water.. After the Mac faught and the wife froze.. I get ordered to prepare the net.. As I dehook the monster the wife informs that I will be holding this one for the camera and releasing it as well.. Yes Ma'am!!!

So hours go by with fish to the boat but nothing over thirty inches... So we go in and give my daughter some walking around time and time to relax from the windy fishn.. In the afternoon we go back and repeat the same routine in the same spot.. 5:30 rolls around the wife makes dinner on the boat.. Get that out of the way, hangn in front of heater, wind howling, back door zipped... My rod Goes off agian... Danielle, my wife, gives me my daughter before I can react and bam there it is again. I just got shafted by my wife.. What am I gonna do??? I have my Daughter asleep in my arms.. Forty five minutes go by and I get the order to come out and net and was reminded that I will be holding and releasing this one as well. I'm not sure if this is a bad thing or a good thing... Wonder how a counselor would take our one and only Marriage issue.. MY WIFE REELS IN ALL THE FISH>>>>>>>> F&^%...

So after that battle we didn't hook one more.. At dark we go in and load the boat and back to camp.. What a bright moon as well... I will say, Saturday night and Sunday morn were the windiest I have seen at Silver in a long time.. Get up early Sunday morn and go right back and pull the Diddo move.. Complete repeat, except it was delayed, and the other rod.. The Big AC.. Suns up and its just before ten, and the Wife's lure of choice all weekend finally produces a Huge Monster Mac.. Just shy of an hour battle.. Playing the under the boat game the whole time... Which made it a Bi$%# of time in the wind that had to be blowing at a constant twenty with gusts higher than that... Did I forget to mention, Yes my wife reeled this one in as well.. Just over twenty five pounds and was also released to become the record next year.. Think the record up there is 26lb.. I even remeber Weez holding it for a long time until someone else beat me to it on a Snowy Memorial a couple of years ago.. See you guys up there!!! By the way, they planted on Monday, so it should make it really tough now!!!
