Nice Muley outlook

Postby SIL3NT T3 » Sun Sep 30, 2012 7:15 pm

Went out this weekend to my area and was very pleased seen overall about 200 head of deer 30 or so bucks and even a good one I would take the opening day mostly small ones but a couple with some size. I walked about 14 miles though and now I just hope they stick around. All the bigger bucks were all by themselves and I will be hunting during the rut so I should do well

Area 17 but you know how it goes when it comes time to put one in the freezer they get cold and are nowhere to be found I am a bit more encouraged at the does seen lots of them and if I can catch the rut just right any old buck gets pretty stupid. Plus I did walk about 14 miles it is in the arc dome wilderness not alot of roads. I have horses but don't think they will make this trip

Nice looking bucks.................hope you find one of those super heavy base 6x8 or bigger old bucks
that are out there. Love those 2 1/2" or larger base antlers, with all the mass and weight !!
We gave them the name "X-mas trees" since that was what they looked like on the sky line, with
all the "Ornaments" sticking out all over the place.

Have a great season.

Good Luck on the hunt! Late season rifle?
Just because the weather is too bad to go to work, tell me again why I shouldn't go hunting
