Bluebird Goose Hunt

Postby Yard Goose » Tue Nov 06, 2012 12:39 pm

So the wife and I decided to go out on Sunday to try out the new decoys and gun the wife got from Cabela's. She decided that she wanted to get a Beretta A400 Extreme , that way she wouldn't have to pump her Mossberg anymore and so she could keep up with the shooting. Let me tell you gang... she is lethal!!! I think we will be having a little competion going on this season now that she is able to keep up!!! Don't get me wrong... she was good before, but... ummm.. ya!

Here is the wifes new beauty...

So we put the decoys out and wow!!! :grooving: We landed a flock over twenty and could hardly tell the difference between the decoy and the real thing. The wife and I both stood up and BANG!!!! The wife tripples, I land two and immedietly another flock comes around and I dropped my last one... Talk about a rush, and all in a matter of minutes!!! Guess them bluebird days ain't so bad after all..

The decoy spread...

The count for the day!!!

With this cold weather the waters up north might be closing up, which should start the birds south for "Wet water" and some food in the fields.................. Just hope our water stays open a little longer than last year. I hate early ice !!
